Miss Your Old Facebook Games? PC Games for Fans of Hidden Chronicles, Gardens of Time and Café World

For a lot of us, the best part of Facebook used to be the games. A few scenes of Hidden Chronicles before work, a garden to tend in Gardens of Time, a café to run on your lunch break. One by one they disappeared, and on September 30, 2026, Facebook switched off its web games platform for good.

If you miss playing on a real screen, here is the good news: the kind of game you loved is alive and well on PC. And these come without the parts nobody misses. You buy a game once and keep it. No energy bar, no waiting for it to refill, no asking friends for gifts.

Here are our picks, organized by the game you are missing.

If You Miss Hidden Chronicles

Zynga's Hidden Chronicles sent you to Ramsey Manor after your Uncle Geoffrey's mysterious death. You searched scenes, solved his case, and spent your earnings restoring and decorating the estate. It closed in July 2014, and players have been asking for something like it ever since.

Gardenscapes 2

The closest match for the restoring side. In Gardenscapes 2, Austin comes home to a family house with a garden gone wild. You find old keepsakes in hidden object scenes, sell items to the neighbors, and spend what you earn on plants and decorations, slowly turning the place into something beautiful.

Antique Mysteries: Secrets of Howard's Mansion

For the mystery side: a wealthy man, a grand house and a puzzle he left behind. In Antique Mysteries you explore a tycoon's mansion full of secret rooms to find his hidden antique collection and learn why he hid it.

If You Miss Gardens of Time

Gardens of Time, Facebook's game of the year in 2011, sent you through history as a time traveler, searching famous scenes and bringing treasures home to decorate your own garden.

Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox

Time travel and hidden objects, together again. In Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox, Mortimer searches scenes across eight historical eras to collect the pieces of a time bomb and close a portal. It is bright and lighthearted, like Gardens of Time was.

World Wonders: Hidden Histories

For the history and the collecting. World Wonders: Hidden Histories takes you from the pyramids of Egypt to the temples of Cambodia. You earn coins in each scene and use them to build a collection of historical artifacts, the same pleasure as filling your garden with treasures from the past.

If You Miss Blackwood and Bell Mysteries

Playdom's Blackwood and Bell had you solving Victorian detective cases through hidden object scenes. It closed in 2013.

Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile

A classic detective at work. As Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile, you search more than 40 locations, decode messages and question passengers to find the killer.

Hidden Object Secrets: The Whitefield Murder

A murder, four suspects and a secret society. The Whitefield Murder is a proper case to crack, with a city full of people who are not telling you everything.

If You Miss Café World

Zynga's Café World let you run your own restaurant, and it closed in July 2014 too. On PC, the restaurant game is one of the most popular genres there is.

Delicious: Cooking and Romance

Run Emily's diner while a Hollywood crew films a romantic comedy in her town. Delicious: Cooking and Romance pairs a busy restaurant with a warm family story, and the Delicious series has dozens more games if you fall for it.

Diner Dash

The classic. In Diner Dash you help Flo seat customers, take orders, serve and clear tables in one fast, satisfying loop. It is our best-selling game for a reason. When you are ready for more, see what Diner Dash fans play next.

If You Miss Pearl's Peril

Pearl's Peril left Facebook on September 30 but lives on in its mobile version. If you would rather keep playing this kind of game on your computer, we put together a separate list of PC games like Pearl's Peril.
